About Seaside Management

For two decades, our dedicated team of local professionals has worked hard to become the Outer Banks’ premier association management company – the trusted partner of communities of every type and size.

We are extremely proud to share that Seaside Management is an Accredited Association Management Company (AAMC).  According to Community Association Institute, “The AAMC accreditation demonstrates a company’s commitment to providing the unique and diverse services community associations need.  An Accredited Association Management Company ensures that their staff has the skills, experience and integrity to help communities succeed.  Its managers have advanced training and demonstrated commitment to the industry — just the type of professionals that community association boards seek to hire!”.

Oh yeah, and we’re the first accredited company in north eastern North Carolina.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE. EVERY DAY.

We owe our success to our people – a unified team sharing a commitment to go above and beyond, every day, for the communities we serve.

INDUSTRY-LEADING AND AWARD-WINNING COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT SERVICES.

We proudly manage these award-winning properties as recognized by Community Associations Institute, North Carolina Chapter:

PROFESSIONAL COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT WITH A PERSONAL TOUCH.

While we are recognized for our depth of industry knowledge and strong local ties, it’s our personal touch that truly sets us apart — and brings us together — with Board members, owners and residents who call our communities home.Jeff and Kelly Shields

Seaside Management, Inc. was established in January 2003 by Jeff and Kelly Shields as a professional management company specializing in homeowner and condominium associations. The company is not involved in general real estate sales, property listings or vacation rentals, so our single focus allows us to better serve communities, board members and owners.

Our company has grown significantly, not only in number of associations and number of staff members, but in our knowledge of how best to manage both the day to day operations and also how to help in preparing for the future of these associations.

We are a member of the Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce and Community Associations Institute (CAI) and through their professional management development program, various staff members have earned the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) designation as well as Association Management Specialist (AMS).

In addition, Kelly holds the Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) designation, the highest available through CAI.  She is the first PCAM in northeastern North Carolina, and one of only 2,200 worldwide.

To earn the PCAM designation, managers must have at least five years of community association management experience and complete more than 100 hours of course work in law, communications, asset protection, risk management, facility management and more.  After completing the prerequisite coursework and qualifying for the program, Kelly attended a rigorous Case Study program in Florida.  She then was required to prepare a comprehensive and detailed case study report analyzing a large, mixed-use community in Orlando.

“Managers with the PCAM designation are the gold standard in community management”, said Jeff Shields, President of Seaside Management.  “They are recognized as top-tier professionals and we are very proud of what Kelly has accomplished and the elevated level of expertise it brings to our company.  That’s what community associations need, and what board members and residents deserve.”
