Holding On a Little Longer
Well, most of Joaquin has passed. We still have one more round of high tide to go and then we think it’ll be gone for good. No major damage at any of our properties, other than the normal wind driven rain, missing roof shingles and sand and debris blowing around. The dunes took a hard hit

Governor Declares State of Emergency
Governor Pat McCrory has declared a state of emergency for all 100 counties in North Carolina today in preparation for severe weather that is predicted to cause severe flooding throughout the state.

Resort Rodanthe Annual Meeting Canceled
The Resort Rodanthe annual owners meeting set for this Saturday, October 3 has been canceled due to the threat of Hurricane Joaquin. It will be rescheduled for a later date.

Wright Memorial Bridge Fully Open
It took two full off-seasons, but the repairs to the Wright Memorial Bridge between Kitty Hawk and Currituck are now complete, and all lanes have been re-opened. As we approach Memorial Day and the holiday weekend, please drive safely!
