Tropical Storm Arthur Heading this Way

Tropical Storm Arthur is heading north, in the direction of the Outer Banks.  At this time, there is a hurricane watch for Hatteras Island and a tropical storm watch for Dare County north of Oregon Inlet.  The storm is expected to reach the Outer Banks early Friday morning.  Click here for the most recent information from Dare County Emergency Management.  http://www.darenc.com/emergencymanagement/

Today, Seaside Management removed the umbrellas from the community pools and tomorrow we will stack and secure pool furniture, secure trash cans, etc. We will also be raising the elevator cabs and locking off the elevators at a number of condominiums with potential flood risk.  We do not have a definite time this will occur, but please be advised this will be taking place.

In addition, recreation centers at various communities will close early on Thursday and stay closed on Friday.  Details of these times will be posted as soon as decisions are made.

Please continue to check Dare County’s website above as well as http://www.weather.com/weather/today/27949 for weather updates.
